Inspired by the ocean & the Japanese artist: Hokusai ‘the NAMI Collection‘ is a set of illustrated waves · in handpicked colors.
The project started in Nov 2018, watercoloring sheet after sheet in all hues imaginable. From there, each colorblock was cut out & put together into waves surfed around the world. After billions of color·tests (OhLord!) the final colors match the original, striving to keep the handpainted feel including the natural chalk shades of the original paper. Comes with white border.
